The good news is that there is no time like the present to start getting into healthy
spending/savings habits by paying attention to your bank account.  The bad news
is that there is an abundance of temptations to spend on campus and college life
can be fraught with negative cash flow - - don't fall into that trap. 

Here are some tip to help you:

1)  LEARN HOW TO BUDGET - know what money you have and how it is allocated
2)  UTILIZE A PREPAID MEAL PLAN
3)  USE CASH FOR EVERYTHING
4)  BUY USED BOOKS OR RENT THEM IF IT MAKES SENSE
5)  STOCK UP ON GROCERIES AND SNACKS
6)  SUGGEST LESS EXPENSIVE WAYS TO HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS
7)  KEEP A SPENDING DIARY
8)  REVIEW YOUR SPENDING PATTERNS AND MAKE CUTS
9)  REMEBER THESE HABITS WILL FORM YOUR BASELINE SO BE PRUDENT
