MAKING YOUR FRESHMAN YEAR SUCCESSFUL

Here is a handy acronym, LAST, that highlight the four primary obstcles to overcoming
the traumas of freshman year:

1)  LONELINESS AND ISOLATION - Get out of your comfort zone and take an interest
      in campus activities.

2)  ALCOHOL ABUSE - If you must drink, set you limits low.'

3)   STUDYING - The time that a student puts into studying should be TRIPLE the amount
spent studying during their senior year of High School

4)   TIME MANAGEMENT - Plot out calendar assignments to create time bound
assignments and a sense of time urgency.  Students realize that their time is
       limited and must be optimized.
