RUNNING MY 9th NEW YORK CITY MARATHON ON NOVEMBER 3rd, 2013

RUNNING MY 9th MARATHON FOR THE SHELLY'S SMILE PARTNERSHIP!!!

HERE ARE SOME OF MY PERSONAL RUNNING TIPS FOR A GREAT RACE!!!!


1)  SLEEP A MINIMUM OF EIGHT HOURS BEFORE THE BIG RACE!!

2)  GET YOUR GEAR SET OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE THE RACE!!!!

3)  AVOID CAFFEINE THE DAY BEFORE THE RACE!!!

4)  PRE-CARB LOAD BUT DON'T GO CRAZY - BALANCE YOUR INTAKE FOR
      MAXIMUM AGILITY!!!!

5) MAKE SURE YOUR BEDROOM TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 70 DEGREES

6)  GET TO STATEN ISLAND BEFORE THEY CLOSE THE ROADS (BEFORE 7 AM)

7) WEAR WARM CLOTHES TO SHED WHILE WAITING THE 2-3 HOURS BEFORE
      THE RACE STARTS

8)  GET YOU MIND IN GEAR - IT IS A L-O-N-G RACE!!!!  MENTALLY PREPARE!!

9)  REVIEW THE COURSE MAP AND KNOW WHERE THE WATER AND REST STOPS

10) PREPARE TO HAVE AN AWESOME RACE AND THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS!!!!
