Here is the week ahead:
1) Boston Federal Reserve President Eric Rosengren speaks
at the "New England Works" conference. The Federal Reserve's
consumer credit data which provides investors a snapshot
of America's personal debt is also due out.
2) Tuesday begins with small-business optimism from the
National Federation of Independent Business and the ICSC
Goldman store sales report which looks at retail spending.
3) On Wednesday, the Mortgage Bankers' Association's purchase
applications report gives us an idean of what's going on
in the housing market.
4) Thursday is the Bureau of Economic Analysis' International
trade report, data on new unemployment claims from the
Department of Labor and export prices from the Bureau of
Labor Statistics and the Bloomberg consumer comfort index.
5) Friday is Veteran's Day and banks are closed, the stock
market is open. The University of Michigan's consumer
sentiment begains the day at 9:55 AM.
