The nation's largest bank, Bank of America, said yesterday
that they would cancel their plans to charge a $5 monthly
fee on customer making debit card purchases.
This week's about face was due to a strong backlach from
customers and the media and many smaller banks and credit
unions profitting from customers leaving Bank of America.
While the Charlotte, NC based bank did not disclose the
number of clients lost, a statement from the company did
said that the move was due to "customer feedback," The
feedback can not get any stronger than customers leaving!!
Hopefully this will be the start of all banks recognizing
that they really should put their customers first!!!!
