Nine time NYC Marathon winner, Greta Waitz passed on Tuesday due to
a long battle with an undisclosed form of cancer. She was an amazing
champion and a fantastic person.
As a long-established member of the New York Road Runners Clubs and a
member of the Board, she helped promote and launch the nyrrc to the
prominent position that it holds among all of the running organization
in the world!!!
Her beautiful spirit will always be with us.
